Youth Educator, Writer, and Spanish Speaker for 15+ Years!

Nice to meet you! I grew up in the Bay Area and always knew I wanted to be able to speak Spanish. I started taking Spanish as soon as I could, when I was in the 7th grade, and I took Spanish courses for the next 10 years, all the way through college graduation. I remember the struggle of memorizing flashcards, learning pronunciation, and writing essays, and I'm here to help you with wherever you're at in your journey with learning Spanish! After college graduation, I have also been able to keep using and improving my Spanish. I also have 10+ years of experience helping youth and adults improve their Spanish, as well as helping them build their confidence in preparing for tests and presentations. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know students and learning about their hobbies and interests!

I spent 10 years formally studying Spanish, which included AP Spanish, advanced college coursework, and a research project in a remote region of the Peruvian Amazon. Additionally, I have worked as a tutor for high school students and college students, and I have spent the past 10 years working directly with middle school and high school youth in an after school program setting!

I have loved writing since I was 8 years old. I studied creative writing in college and spent 10 years coaching middle school students on their writing and proofreading skills. In my professional career I have used my writing skills to craft 100+ presentations and trainings and resources. I also currently help adults write memoirs, which has been incredibly fun! In my free time I work on writing my own short stories and other fiction.
