Hi there, I'm Craig! I graduated from the University of California, Merced with Bachelors degrees in Biology and Psychology. After graduation, I stayed to pursue a PhD in Quantitative and Systems Biology focusing on genetics, molecular biology, and microbiology. Since finishing my degree I have worked in both academic and industry positions to advance therapeutic development for rare genetic disorders using CRISPR systems.
I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience. I began tutoring in high school in the areas of Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. As a graduate student, I've taught several semesters of undergraduate courses on general biology, similar to AP and IB Biology, and microbiology. I have also mentored students in the laboratory and on their internship and graduate admissions applications. Working with students has been incredibly rewarding, especially when we can work as a team to accomplish their goals.
