I'm Thomas! I'm a former McKinsey consultant and a recent graduate of Brown University with a degree in English. I specialize in working with high school students on Common App essays, college application essays, and college admission essays. I've also worked for the United States Congress, Amazon Web Services and Facebook (Meta), as well as in venture capital and state/local government.

I believe school has the potential to transform lives, and my goal as a tutor is to build relationships with people all over the country/world and help people overcome personal and academic challenges so they can move forward in their lives.

My expertise is in essay coaching, writing, and internship applications. My students have received internships at McKinsey, Bain, and Pixar, as well as admission to top universities. I've worked with a wide range of folks, from a 21-year old police officer studying English online in Alaska to an engineer working on her application for a Masters Degree program at Northeastern. I love helping each student succeed and watching them grow along the way.

My work with writers and students spans academic essays, undergrad/grad school applications, creative pursuits, and resumes. I have worked with students ages thirteen through thirty and I would be happy to work with you regardless of age and/or experience!

I've worked with dozens of students over the last two years working as a tutor for TutorMe's Writing Center, where I have graded thousands of essays, from theses to personal statements to academic papers. Above all, my aim is to build relationships with students, and to make the tutoring process as fun and empowering as possible.
