My practice promotes critical and investigative learning, engaging students with thought-provoking questions and cross-subject connections, and giving students tools to think independently. My approach is patient and judgment-free, with the goal of sparking curiosity.

As someone with ADHD, I’ve built a base of knowledge both from life experience and dedicated study on how to support students with executive function.

Since 2013, I have tutored in arithmetic, geometry, and pre-algebra with students from ages 6 and above both for grade building and for FAST, CHSPE, and ISEE/SSAT prep. I aim to connect mathematical concepts with my students’ real world experiences so that concepts are learned intuitively rather than simply memorized. My style of teaching removes frustration from the learning process through reassurance, conversation, and patience.

As someone who was homeschooled from childhood up until college, I am very familiar with the unique experiences of homeschooling and other alternative schooling methods. I have used my experience to help many students with learning study skills, setting personal goals, and self-directed learning.

I have completed 2.5 years of college Spanish classes and used Spanish conversationally in Mexico City and among Spanish-speaking peers. Since 2019, I have taught K-12 students in beginner to intermediate Spanish. I teach in a holistic manner, emphasizing pronunciation and natural speaking ability at the same level as reading, writing, and grammar.

My Political Economy degree from UC Berkeley required me to obtain a complex understanding of historical events, themes, and trends across time periods and regions by participating in numerous courses and seminars in various historical topics. I have also continued to expand and enrich my historical knowledge in my spare time to enhance my teaching. Since 2019, I have tutored dozens of students in AP World History as well as APUSH and AP Euro History. I emphasize a balance between reviewing core concepts & events, making broad thematic connections, and practicing reading & writing strategies.

Excellent Tutor for CHSPE & All Other Tests!

Arjun was very helpful for test prep. We will be asking for 2 sessions a week until the test. Thank you. What we covered in the first session: Reviewed point requirements and calculator rules Did practice problems together on the Pythagorean theorem, rates of change, standard deviation, and factorials Discussed strategies on how to avoid getting stuck or solving problems
