The Best Tutor I Have Ever Had - Hands Down, No Questions Asked
Dana is hands down, the best tutor I have ever had. I could write about his Ph.D. from Cal Tech, his experience teaching applied mathematics at MIT or his background in the financial industry working for top banks, but I’ll let you gather all of that from his profile (the list is seriously impressive). Despite all of the above, what I value the most, is Dana’s genuine desire to help me understand the concept (currently pursuing a Masters in Financial Engineering – getting tutored on various level of calculus + more topics in the future). I self-taught myself (poorly) a lot of the concepts I need to apply in the program. Not only does Dana have the background and understanding to see what concepts I have glanced over (and shouldn’t have) but his way of explaining them is top class. He can break down advanced concepts graphically, in the context of work or in the context of other problems. I truly feel he values seeing me progress as a student and internalize these concepts. This not only has the practical application of advancement of my knowledge, but it provides me with confidence to continue further. Dana – you truly are a great tutor and I really appreciate all the work you have done with me thus far. I will 100% be a student even after classes are done to continue my advancement of the subjects we are reviewing. Truly a 11/10 tutor!

Wonderful and very knowledgable precalculus tutor
Dr. Hobson helps me continue to enjoy challenging precalculus problems. We worked on sigma notation and infinite geometric series in our session this week.

Knowledgeable and awesome tutor.
Dana teaches trigonometry for my Junior daughter. We are really happy and appreciative of the fact that Dana is very knowledgeable and gives my daughter clues which helps her immensely when she has to do test. She finds Trig to be more of a favorite subject now. Thanks you Dana

Great math teacher who is great at explaining concepts.
He covered Matrix multiplication and inverses of Matrices in Linear Algebra. He was very good at making concepts understandable and helped my son a great deal. Will be signing up again. Great teacher!

Dana deserves more than five stars
Dana has expertly taken the lead on my homeschooled child's math curriculum throughout high school. They are currently working on Calculus. My son truly enjoys learning from Dana - whose passion for math is contagious. He is an extremely intelligent, patient, personable, and skilled teacher. He is also a really nice person who has always been so kind, positive, helpful, adaptable, and a pleasure to work with.

Absolutely the best
COVID-19 hits and I have no option but to take a Applied Differential Equations class online, which is composed of a series of links to Khan Academy videos. Not going well, but then I found Dana! Dana worked with me throughout the class and he changed my experience. Dana is methodical and will show different approaches to a given problem. He is well-versed in various disciplines and often makes relevant connections. His pace keeps you engaged but not overwhelmed. Dana is consistently very pleasant, kind, and respectful. Not only is Dana thorough and reliable, but also very accommodating. As I am nearing the end of this class, I can say that it is because of Dana that I feel confident with the material and that confidence will carry over into future classes that also utilize this content. And yes, my grade (A) in the class reflects my progress. I am so grateful to have found Dana and that he had the time to work with me. A great teacher can make all the difference and Dana is exactly that.

Experienced and patient tutor - an amazing find
My daughter was struggling with her online multivariable calc course as the recorded lectures did not always match up to the assignments. It is a daily class and if you don't understand something then you quickly can get behind and lost. Dana is really flexible with his scheduling and immediately found the textbook she was using to pinpoint the topics that she needs to master. His communications are excellent so that they don't waste any time. She has gotten back up to speed in the class and has been confident in her work and quizzes!
