A little about my background. I graduated from SF state as a math major and then from their credentials program. During my undergrad, I tutored for two tutorial centers on campus and that lead into my career as a teacher. After I got my credentials, I immediately started working as a full time teacher and have been at the same school since. In my 24 years of teaching, I have taught Algebra1 all the way up to AP Calculus BC (with at least a 4.0 on the AP score in my recent years).

Being both a teacher and a tutor allows me to have a better insight as to what kids need to learn. Often times, I see students not being able to learn as efficiently in the classroom because it is hard for a teacher to be able to reach everyone (since everyone learns differently). As a tutor, I can easily identify those holes to ensure that each student learns what they need to improve. During my time as a teacher, students were never hesitant to ask me questions in and outside of the classroom. I try my best to be approachable and patient since I understand that they are bombarded by 5 other teachers to learn 5 other subjects.
I would love to have the opportunity to work with your child. Math doesn't have to be cryptic, and it would be my honor to take my students under my tutelage to see that.
