Marhaban!

My name is Rahaf. I love teaching and learning new languages, and learning about new cultures. I'm originally from Syria. I came to the US seven years ago. I teach standard Arabic (MSA) and Levantine (Syrian, Lebanese, Jordanian, Palestinean). I have been teaching Arabic for over 6 years, online and in person.

My methodology focuses on conversation. I have developed this methodology using my experience as a language learner and as a language teacher over the past years. I teach structure and grammar through the patterns in conversations which makes it much easier to remember and gives you the ability to start conversing from the first hour of your Arabic course, even if you have never spoken a word in Arabic before. I also created an easier approach to learning writing and reading in Arabic. I teach you different techniques and strategies to help you navigate in the language comfortably and start conversing immediately. I am currently working on curriculum design for IB in an international school based in San Francisco, CA. I have given a TEDx talk about "How to learn any language."

Please note that my availability changes throughout the year. However, I am more flexible in my schedule during the summer.
