I have also tutored math and statistics for the Learning Assistance Center of City College of San Francisco. I have tutored high school through college students.
I love tutoring and truly enjoy helping my students to not just get a better grade, but to really understand the subject matter. My teaching method emphasizes conceptual learning rather than rote memorization. I would like to teach students how to think. I can explain complicated math concepts simply, clearly, and effectively; and I am very patient and never pressure my students. I think you'd enjoy working with me.
I still have the accent (Russian), but most of my students have claimed that this was not a problem for them.

Statistics

Statistics

I have taught statistics courses at Tula State University, City College of San Francisco, and Embry-Riddle University (Oakland). These courses covered both traditional concepts (probabilities, distributions, point estimates, confidence intervals, testing of hypothesis) and advanced concepts (analysis of variance, linear and multiple regressions, correlation analysis, non-parametric methods). I also tutored a lot of students from high schools (AP Statistics), community colleges (statistics courses from Mathematics Department, Social Sciences Department, and Behavior Sciences Department), and SFSU.
