About Anna

Bio

I am a 7th grade math teacher at Herbert Hoover Middle School. I am in my 7th year of teaching, and I have also taught 8th grade math, 9th grade Algebra 1, Algebra 1/Geometry summer credit recovery, and summer Accelerated Geometry. All of my teaching has been in SFUSD, and I am familiar with the SFUSD math curriculum as well as the new Amplify Desmos math curriculum. Before becoming a teacher I also did SAT tutoring for four years through CollegeSpring. I also coach my school's MathCounts...

I have a Bachelors in Mathematics from Occidental College, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Stanford University. I feel most comfortable tutoring students in middle school math or the SAT, but I can tutor in other areas as well.

My new SAT students have had an average improvement of 12 points on the reading and writing section, with an average improvement of 3 points per session.
