Hi There!

My name is Cody F. and I love tutoring, especially in math and science. I graduated from The Gatton Academy of Math and Science at Western Kentucky University, named the number one public high school in the nation by Newsweek. While there I took extensive college coursework in math, physics, chemistry, biology, and the humanities while also completing my high school education. After graduating I began my undergraduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At MIT I pursued a degree in mathematics and computer science before moving to SF to teach at a coding academy in SOMA. I loved teaching in San Francisco so much that I decided to stay!

During this time I have acquired great experience in tutoring and teaching. I have a total of 8 years of experience tutoring mathematics, particularly calculus. I also have 5 years of experience tutoring in the sciences, such as biology, chemistry, and physics. My experience has come in the form of private, one-on-one tutoring with students ranging in ages from 7th grade through adult learners, college-level review courses, and even teaching SAT prep courses.

My students find me very relatable, and I interact and speak to them as my peers, which I find to be really beneficial to their learning. I look forward to working with you in the future! Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have!

**Please inquire about my special rates regarding entire math course tutoring packages! A great alternative to an after school program for middle or high school students looking to refresh or get ahead, and a great way for college students to prepare for CLEP exams or study for upcoming courses!**

My relevant test scores are:
SAT: 2260 (M: 790, R: 730, W: 740);
ACT Composite: 35 (M: 35, R: 36, E: 36, S: 34);
AP Calculus BC: 5
SAT Subject Test-- Math II: 800 Biology (Ecology): 700
My relevant coursework includes:
MATH: Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations

Really great knowledge of BC Calculus!

Cody is very knowledgeable in Calculus. He requested information on what was already covered and the areas help was needed, so the session was productive right from the start. Would defiantly recommend Cody!

Very easy to talk to and listens well. Very knowledgeable.

In one session, Cody was able to get my son on track and motivate him, give him confidence, and review all the information he needed to cover.
