Knowledgeable Career Development Tutor

For the past two months Sara has been helping me develop well rounded cover letters and brushing up my resume. With her help I was able to secure a winter/spring internship, and is helping me with summer internship applications. She is extremely skilled at taking out key words that employers are looking for and curating what you wrote to fit whatever field you are looking to get your foot in the door with. As well, working with her in a few sessions on talking about what I really should put my energy towards and where my skills may best fit have helped. I highly recommend her!

5 Star Tutor!

We are so grateful for Sara B.! My daughter had missed several months of school due to illness and was really behind in her AP English class. We found Sara on Wyzant, and she immediately stepped in with incredible patience, skill, and dedication. She met with my daughter and helped get her back on track, helped her focus, and rebuild her confidence. Thanks to Sara’s expert guidance and support, my daughter not only caught up with her coursework but earned a 5 on her AP English exam! Sara is truly an outstanding tutor who goes above and beyond, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. 5 stars all the way.

Thank you!!

We’ve just had our first class, and I already found the answer I’ve been searching for over the past five years. Sara’s teaching style is an effective mix of directness and warmth, professional yet friendly and deeply attuned to what really matters in communication. In just one session, she helped me see why my fast speech — combined with my native Russian accent — may be creating unintentional barriers at work, especially in emotionally charged or high-stakes conversations. She explained how rapid speech with a strong accent increases the cognitive load on listeners, reduces comprehension, and can even feel overwhelming or triggering to some. These insights immediately clicked. We practiced slowing down my speech by 50%, and for the first time, I understood how powerful (and necessary) that shift can be. A simple but radical change — and one I have already tried at the work meeting and felt the difference, not only by myself but also by other people. Great start. Looking forward to what’s ahead. Thank you, Sara.
