Hello! I'm a mathematics tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and four years of experience tutoring students in grades K–12 from 2016 to 2020. During that time, I worked one-on-one with students of varying skill levels, helping them strengthen their understanding of subjects ranging from elementary math and prealgebra to Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and other high school math courses. Today, I work professionally as an engineer, where I apply mathematical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving every day. My background allows me to connect the concepts students learn in the classroom to practical, real-world applications while developing the logical thinking skills that are valuable both in school and beyond.
I believe that every student is capable of succeeding in math with the right guidance and encouragement. My tutoring style focuses on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Rather than having students memorize formulas, I emphasize understanding the "why" behind each concept so they can confidently solve new and unfamiliar problems on their own. Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual learning style, pace, and goals, whether they're preparing for an upcoming exam, catching up after falling behind, or looking to get ahead in class.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills that will benefit them throughout their education. I enjoy seeing students gain confidence as concepts begin to click, and I take pride in making math approachable, engaging, and less intimidating.
