Bio

I graduated from Harvard University, and I also scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT. Over the past 15 years I've tutored students ranging from elementary school through high school in reading, writing, creative expression, and test preparation — working one-on-one in home settings, coffee shops, and online. I graduated from Harvard University, and I also scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT. Over the past 15 years I've tutored students ranging from elementary school through high school in reading, writing, creative expression, and test preparation — working one-on-one in home settings, coffee shops, and online. My students have included elementary-aged learners building foundational literacy skills, middle schoolers developing stronger writing habits, and high school juniors and seniors preparing for the SAT and college application process.

My teaching approach is entirely student-centered. I don't use a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I start by understanding how each student thinks, where their confidence breaks down, and what angle will make the material click for them. For SAT prep specifically, I focus as much on strategy, pacing, and mental composure as I do on content, because in my experience those factors separate good scores from great ones. For college essay coaching, I draw on my background as a professional performer and storyteller trained at The Groundlings Theater and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles — I help students find the authentic narrative only they can tell.

Beyond academics, I won Season 9 of CBS's The Amazing Race, which required solving complex problems clearly and quickly under extreme pressure across five continents. That experience deeply informs how I teach students to perform under pressure: whether on test day, in a college interview, or delivering a presentation. I am patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in every student I work with.

Acting

Acting

I'm a professional actor with national commercial credits for Oreo, Coke Zero, and Hertz, trained at The Groundlings Theater and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles — two of the most respected acting and improv programs in the country. I performed with Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, and won Season 9 of CBS's The Amazing Race. I've worked with students of all ages on audition technique, character development, scene work, cold reading, and building the kind of stage presence and confidence that translates to any performance context. Sessions are personalized to each student's goals — whether they're preparing for a school play, a professional audition, or simply want to become more confident and expressive performers.
Drawing

Drawing

I have been drawing my whole life and have spent over 15 years using drawing as a tool to connect with kids, spark creativity, and help young learners express what they cannot always put into words. My training as a performer at The Groundlings Theater and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles gives me a deep understanding of character, expression, and visual storytelling that most art teachers simply do not have. I work with students of all skill levels, from complete beginners to kids who fill sketchbook after sketchbook, teaching them to break down complex characters and objects into simple shapes and build a personal drawing style that feels authentic to them. I am also the winner of Season 9 of CBS's The Amazing Race, and the creative problem-solving and quick thinking that experience required informs how I teach students to trust their instincts and put their ideas on paper without second-guessing every line.
