I am currently completing an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at Samuel Merritt University in California and will graduate in June 2026 with honors. I am also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, which recognizes academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the nursing profession. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, certifications in areas including BLS and integrative health coaching, and I have extensive experience teaching wellness, yoga, stress management techniques, confidence-building strategies, and health education to both individuals and groups.
My teaching experience spans both academic and community settings over the past several years. In addition to tutoring and mentoring nursing students throughout my ABSN program, I previously worked as a substitute teacher for K-12 students, including serving as a long-term science teacher for elementary school classrooms. I have experience teaching students of varying ages and learning styles in both classroom and one-on-one settings. My approach to tutoring focuses on simplifying complex concepts, building confidence, and helping students develop critical thinking and test-taking strategies rather than memorization alone. I particularly enjoy helping students prepare for nursing exams such as HESI and NCLEX-style assessments by breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps while also incorporating stress management and confidence-building techniques.
Throughout nursing school, I have completed clinical rotations in medical-surgical nursing, ICU, emergency department, pediatrics, maternity, community health, and mental health settings. These experiences allow me to connect textbook concepts to real-world patient care scenarios and support students in developing clinical judgment and nursing prioritization skills. I am passionate about education, mentorship, and helping students feel confident and successful in their academic journey.
