Hi — I’m Sasha! Good writing is agonizing. It takes patience and perseverance to string together a succinct argument worthy of publication. This is where I come in.
As a tech journalist, I spend my days breaking down abstract ideas in my writing. I graduated from Stanford University with my Master’s in Communications specializing in writing and data journalism. New to the Bay Area, I bring over five years of writing and editing experience in and beyond the newsroom, having worked in policy writing and in research analysis in Washington, D.C. and New York.
As a writer, it is essential to me to help my students develop their own voices. I focus on brainstorming, helping students think through the best ways to structure an essay or project.
Most of my experience is one on one and in small groups so I can focus my attention on what each student needs. I have worked with college students and high schoolers on writing, essay editing, reading comprehension, English literature and proofreading to push them to reach their potential and build their confidence.
I am easy to reach and will always respond quickly. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
