My name is Sam and I graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors in Computer Science. I first had my introduction to being an educator as a high school junior primarily doing drop-in tutoring in the school library every week during my lunch time and that's when I started to realize this was fulfilling for me and something I wanted to continue doing in the future. I mostly taught algebra and pre-calculus back in high school through my graduation, then took a break because I was preoccupied when I started university during COVID lock down, but eventually at the start of 2023 I reinitialized my teaching journey and did freelance tutoring at my university campus library in UC Davis where I help students catch up and form better understandings on computer science topics like data structures and algorithms, discrete math, or computer architecture.
Currently I also virtually tutor students in early high school in Algebra, 8th grade mathematics, and ELA. Particularly, I help students who are struggling with content expected as a prerequisite at their grade level.
