Hi there! I have worked in undergrad and medical schools admissions, learning tips and tricks behind these competitive admissions processes. Having read for these institutions, I know the difference between average and exceptional applications, and it all starts with the narrative.

Each student has unique experiences, and my goal is to craft essays that highlight my student's qualities. In medical school, knowing your “why medicine” is key, so throughout the writing and editing process, I encourage my students to consider how/if their organization, word choice, tone, voice, and style add to their narrative. In undergrad admissions, a similar approach applies, but this time, we answer: who am I, what matters to me, and how have I been shaped by the world around me?

As a coach, I provide detailed feedback that guides students towards the end goal, and I also
read essays line by line until we have a stellar application.

Over the years, my students have been accepted to the following undergraduate and medical colleges:
-Harvard University
-Stanford University
-Columbia University
-Princeton University
-University of Chicago
-University of Southern California
-University of California, Berkeley
-University of California, Los Angeles
-Pomona College
-Amherst College
-Swarthmore College
-Georgetown University
-University of Texas, Austin
-University of Virginia
-Harvard Medical School
-University of California, San Francisco
-Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
-Tufts University School of Medicine
-Georgetown University School of Medicine

College Counseling

College Counseling

In the past six years, I have worked in the admissions space--whether as an admissions representative at a top 20 university or an independent college consultant. Having read applications for a college, I know what key qualities and experiences need to be highlighted in order to "wow" committees. Since then, I keep up-to-date with admissions trends, patterns, challenges, and more, and I work with students to strategically build a narrative, ensuring our voice and unique perspectives are demonstrated in all application materials.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

When I was an undergrad, I was recruited to the writing center. When interviewing, I was asked to describe how I would edit and improve all types of writing--from creative pieces to analytical essays to research publications. I equip students with the skills to tackle any writing piece with clarity, strategy, and confidence. With my guidance, students have excelled in their high school and college level courses. They have also won fellowships and scholarships, as well as gained acceptances to top universities.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I have worked as a undergrad and med school consultant for six years. Before then, I worked at a writing center in college, guiding undergrad and graduate students through their many assignments. We worked on applications, theses, capstones, assignments, publications, and more. I have assisted students with personal statements to grad, med, law, and business programs.
Spanish

Spanish

I tutored English as a Second Language and Spanish at a nonprofit prior to college. In undergrad, I continued tutoring Spanish in the area, working with K-12 students. I have tutored elementary Spanish all the way to AP Spanish (Language and Literature).

A Skilled, Patient Mentor for College Success

Jennifer is simply extraordinary. She is masterfully guiding my son through the personal statement and college applications, turning stress into clarity and uncertainty into confidence. Her thoughtful, personalized approach brings out his best self, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her support. I'm excited to keep working with her as she guides my two youngest.
