Hello everyone, my name is Rocco. I was born and raised in Venice, Italy, where I completed both my undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Venice. It was there that I began tutoring and developed a strong interest in teaching. I later earned my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Utah, where I further refined my instructional approach.
I am a patient and supportive educator who focuses on teaching methodology rather than memorization. My goal is to help students understand how to approach problems, think critically, and build learning strategies that make them independent and confident learners. Rather than emphasizing technical content in isolation, I prioritize frameworks, reasoning, and problem-solving techniques that students can apply across subjects.
I have prepared students at the middle school, high school, and college levels, as well as learners pursuing advanced and graduate degrees. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with organizations such as NASA, Imperial College London, the Max Planck Institute, Meta, Intel Corporation, and Zoox.
