Hi there! I’m a longtime journalist/content producer with over 25 years of career experience. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Journalism degree, I worked at the San Francisco Chronicle as a reporter in the food and wine section for 12 years. There, I ran the test kitchen, wrote and edited trend pieces, and wrote longform profile stories and essays. I left the Chronicle in 2016 and went on to work as a producer and creative partner for a celebrity chef who also ran a production company. We did mostly TV and video production, but I also wrote and produced his podcasts and wrote/edited new business pitches, decks and scripts.
At the core, I think of myself as someone who can interview a subject and quickly distill the most interesting part of their story. It’s why I love helping teenagers write their admission essays, both to help them figure out what they want to say, and then how to best say it. I’ve been through it with my own children and other students and after having spent my career writing and editing, am now looking to help kids with what I know can be a stressful and difficult process.
Please feel free to reach out to discuss working together. Thanks!
