I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Florida, where my research focused on developing new synthetic tools for the functionalization of alicyclic amines. I also earned a B.Sc. in Chemistry (ACS Certified) from the University of Colorado Denver. Over the course of my academic career, I authored seven peer-reviewed publications, including work in Angewandte Chemie and ACS Catalysis. These experiences reflect both my technical expertise in organic synthesis and my ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and skills that translate directly into effective tutoring in chemistry at multiple levels.

In addition to my research accomplishments, I served four years as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in organic chemistry labs at the University of Florida, typically instructing groups of 18 undergraduates. In this role, I guided students through experiments, evaluated their work, and provided personalized feedback to support learning. I emphasize clarity and patience in my teaching, breaking down challenging topics into approachable steps and adapting to individual learning styles.

I have also mentored graduate, undergraduate, and exchange students in research settings, training them in laboratory safety, multi-step synthesis, and data analysis. These one-on-one and small-group experiences allowed me to refine my ability to adjust explanations to students of different ages and backgrounds. Combined with my strong academic background and record of publications, this experience equips me to be an adaptable and effective tutor who can help students build both understanding and confidence in chemistry.
