Hi! I’m Clarissa, a rising freshman at Harvard College with a passion for helping students learn. I am available to tutor elementary, middle, and high school students. About me: I graduated from The Branson School in Ross, CA in 2025 with an unweighted GPA of 3.98. I received a 35 composite on the ACT. I am an AP scholar and received 5s and 4s on several AP tests.
I enjoy both humanities and STEM disciplines, and I am available to tutor across both. I have experience tutoring students in a range of subjects and also offer tutoring for high schoolers working on independent projects such as research papers, summer program applications, personal essays, and ACT prep. Specifically, I tutor the following: ACT prep, AP English lang, AP Spanish Lang, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calc AB/BC, and AP Statistics. Moreover, I tutor these academic classes for elementary, middle, and high school students: English, US History, Ethics and Justice, World Religions, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, Pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus AB/BC, Independent Research, Essay Revision and Writing, and Enrichment Program Applications. My goal is to empower students to think independently, and make challenging material feel intuitive.
I have taken part in enrichment programs such as Stanford’s Sejong Korea Scholar Program and Professor Michael Sandel’s “Justice” online seminar, and presented academic research and calls to action at venues including the SF Human Rights Commission and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s office.
I tailor each session to the student’s individual pace, and use clear analogies and their preferred learning style to promote maximum mastery of material. It is very helpful to receive the topics or material students would like to review in advance of the sessions. I am happy to go over any school assignments, exam review, or teach certain concepts. Please message me with any other specific requests; I would likely be amenable!
