As both a teacher and a school counselor I believe in student-centered learning. I try to make my lessons center around students learning style and interests. I am also a big believer in positive reinforcement to help them build up on progress. I also follow a growth mindset approach and teach that mistakes are a part of learning, and try to encourage curiosity.
Thanks to my background as a school counselor, and working overseas, I have had a heart for working with a diverse population of students and those who may need extra help in learning. I especially enjoy helping students in reading and vocabulary, and I especially love helping them read books.
