Hello! My name is Danielle, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. I have 5 years of tutoring experience in various math courses, working with students ages 6 to 22. Currently, I work as a Math Tutor at Malcolm X Academy Elementary School, supporting students across all elementary grade levels. I also have experience as an SAT Math course instructor, helping students develop problem-solving skills and test-taking strategies to achieve their target scores.

In high school, I tutored elementary students and those in pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus. Lessons focused on exam preparation, homework assistance, and deeper exploration of complex topics. Most sessions were one-on-one, with occasional group exam prep sessions of 4-5 students. In college, my tutoring centered on pre-calculus, trigonometry, and calculus, providing individualized support for coursework. I also have experience with SAT and ACT math preparation, having scored in the 95th percentile on the SAT math section. Additionally, I earned perfect scores on both the AP Calculus AB and BC exams, giving me valuable insight into effective test strategies.

From there, we’ll work through class and homework examples with step-by-step problem-solving techniques and test-taking tips.
