Greetings, and nice to meet you! My name is Jaden and I am a graduate from the University of Edinburgh in the capital of Scotland in the United Kingdom. I am born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I love Mathematics and believe in building approaches with intuition and understanding at the primary focus of your development, so you have the knowledge and insight to excel beyond the lessons.
I received my Master of Arts with Honours in Mathematics and Philosophy, where I wrote a dissertation titled "Information Theory and Applications to Portfolio Theory". I completed a Senior Honours project on contemporary Mathematical Education in the United Kingdom, and have experience tutoring over 200 hours of highschool subjects mostly in STEM, additionally instructing a group of 10 students in Calculus BC in 2017-2018.
In 2014 I was retaking Algebra 1 after failing the course, in 2015 my PSAT score was 910/1600. and by 2018 I earned top scores for SAT Math (790/800) and took 9 AP exams (5/5 Calc AB/BC) (4/4 Physics C and Chemistry) earning admission into T20 schools - I can help you grow to overcome academic challenges of many forms.
I strongly believe in incorporating the principles of "Nonviolent Communication" into my lessons; a communication framework by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg which aims to address how judgement often prevents us from empathetically understanding those around us. Education often contains violent and judgemental language; Mathematics should be approached empathetically rather than judgementally, in order to foster a harmonious environment rooted in growth and hard work.
I am eager to work together on most quantitative subjects, or philosophical (writing) if you wish! Looking forward to making helpful, friendly and insightful lessons with you.
