Hello! My name is Leo and I am a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science.
I am currently a teaching assistant at my college for the course Programming fundamentals — C++. Here, I hold office hours, grade, and provide feedback on assignments for 30+ students. This summer, I was a software engineering intern for IM Republic (a small San Francisco based company) and I was able to work on real-world projects.
One of the things I love about tutoring is the satisfaction on a student's face when they finally understand the concept. I myself, have struggled in a couple of classes (especially during the online era) where I just couldn't get myself to focus. I have since adapted by self-studying and find supplementary resources for classes I am interested in or struggling in. Along the way, I wished that I could have had someone to ask clarifying questions, or ask for help with a problem.
I want to help students in any way I can, so I am adaptable and will teach in a manner that best benefits the student. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.
In high school, I received a 5 on the AP Calc BC exam and am currently hold a 4.00 GPA. I have taken the calculus series (Calc I, II, III), which go over topics such as derivatives, integrals, and multivariable calculus, along with calculus-based physics classes (newtonian and electrostatics).
This previous summer, I was a software engineering intern at IM Republic (a small San Francisco based start-up). Here, I was able to work on real world projects, using technologies such as React, Javascript, Typescript,HTML/CSS, and Git. Currently, I am a CS Teaching Assistant at my college for the course Programming Fundamentals — C++, where I hold office hours, grade, and provide feedback on assignments for 30+ students. Aside from this I also have multiple personal projects as well as hackathon awards.
To prospective students, I want to help you and I will work
