Hola! My name is Alma. I have been tutoring for years, and I love teaching. Working with kids and helping them learn has always been a passion of mine and this has made me an enthusiastic tutor. I currently teach students from ages 6 to 15 years old and they have all been showing amazing progress in their subjects, as well as enjoying our classes together.

Hola! My name is Alma. I have been tutoring for years, and I love teaching. Working with kids and helping them learn has always been a passion of mine and this has made me an enthusiastic tutor. I currently teach students from ages 6 to 15 years old and they have all been showing amazing progress in their subjects, as well as enjoying our classes together.

As a native Spanish speaker who grew up in Mexico, I love helping anyone learn the language! My focus during the lessons is to improve the student’s vocabulary, understanding, writing and reading skills. Learning the language with a native speaker can be beneficial because it helps to develop vocabulary that Spanish speaking people use commonly, which can be rarely found in textbooks or regular classes.

As a Biomedical Engineer, science and math have always been subjects that I excel at. I love teaching all levels of science and math because I find these topics genuinely exciting and I want to help my students find their own passion for these wonderful subjects. During my lessons we focus on understanding the basics and work our way to harder concepts as we move along. It's important that the bases for math and science are solid, since many concepts build up from there. My students have seen incredible improvement in their grades and several of them have received praises from their school teachers for their evident progress.

My commitment to my students is to make every lesson especially tailored for their learning needs in a way that is fun, engaging and easy to follow. I work with my students to make sure that I am breaking down concepts for them in a simple and relatable way so that it can be easily understood. With this in mind, I know that I can help new students develop their skills by learning in a cheerful and interactive way.

Teaching children has always been a passion of mine. I have experience working with kids from ages 6-13 years old. My current students love my classes and teaching methods. I make sure to help students understand the subjects in a way they find interesting, and I create dynamic and interactive classes that deliver the material in a fun way.

A fun and knowledgeable tutor!

Alma was fantastic! We needed some quick Spanish tutoring for my 7-year old. She has a great way to connect with kids. The lesson was filled with fun activities and story telling that taught him vocabulary and important grammar concepts. My son absolutely loved Alma's tutoring.

Great tutor!

Alma does a wonderful job working with my children. Her sessions are fun and engaging. She's taught them a lot in just our first couple lessons. She gets them both actively listening and speaking and thinking in Spanish.
