"Hi to all students and parents. My name is Dustin. I have been tutoring since 2005 when I became a student at UC San Diego majoring in electrical engineering. I also have been a substitute teacher for the last six years at San Marcos High School teaching Math, such as Algebra 1 &2, and Geometry. I have been teaching Math in one to one or a group setting in various topics, such as the ones I mentioned, plus calculus, pre-calculus, trigonometry, and deferential equations. I taught classes with 40 students or more at San Marcos High school. Also I have taught math through Zoom with classroom setting during covid. I have tutored students from 6th grade all the way to 12th grade, and college level. The way I teach is that I introduce a topic with adequate number of examples with step by step explanation and making sure students understand every step before I move forward of teaching the next step. Then I ask independent work from students to work on Math problems that I assign, so I can monitor their progress. Of course if students get stuck with any math problems, I will give more guidance to students to figure out the solutions of the problems on their own. I have so much passion for math, and I would like to convert that passion into teaching students effectively with passion and joy. I look forward tutoring you."
