When I was younger, I personally struggled with school, specifically math, until I found the right tutor. Once I finally understood simple things- like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division- Math became one of my strongest and favorite subjects. I even became so good at it; I don't have to take it in college! However, if I had never found the right tutor for me, that could not be the case. As a tutor, I hope to provide the same clarity and personalized lessons that my tutor did for me. I want my students to not only understand but also be proud of their work.
Although my breakthrough was in math, I am qualified to teach most subjects my favorite biology and chemistry.
I feel confident that I will be able to help your child since I have lots of experience with kids of all ages and minds as a camp counselor, part-time nanny, and experienced babysitter. Additionally, during my high school career, I was elected Mu Alpha Theta president for outstanding performance in math. I upheld exceptional performance and, led and planned activities. As the face of the math club, I tutored many of my peers, family, and students of all ages and subjects.
As a Neuroscience major in college, I think that I could adequately teach biology and chemistry to anyone. During my high school career, I excelled in both Biology Honors and AP. Also, I received a perfect score in my college classes for both chemistry and biology.
