Hello, My name is Hriday, Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic I am back in San Diego Taking my classes online, for now, this has opened up a unique opportunity for me to tutor alongside attending my online lectures. Hello, My name is Hriday, Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic I am back in San Diego Taking my classes online, for now, this has opened up a unique opportunity for me to tutor alongside attending my online lectures. I know that this pandemic has put financial pressure on a lot of families, and while my base rate remains $20, know that this price is negotiable. I am free most days of the week after a certain point in the day, and I am free all day during the weekends. I am very comfortable teaching any level of math from Elementary school to Trigonometry. I may offer higher-level math tutoring, such as calculus, later on as well, so please stay tuned if you need help with that.
My tutoring service is very versatile, I can teach students math concepts that they will need to know or need specific help on and/or refresh concepts that they may have forgotten over the summer. I can also teach new methods of doing problems that can expedite the process of doing a problem, or give a deeper understanding or less chance of error on the problem. I am very focused on my students understanding the pattern in a problem and learning not just a single problem, but how to do problems of that category, categorizing the problems and creating a method for the problem. The other area I focus on is teaching why a certain equation is used for the problem and how the numbers work in the equation, like pattern recognition as an integral part of math. I test these areas by teaching the student how to do the problem and giving them a similar problem I have constructed from scratch to see if they can replicate success in a test-like environment. What drives me to tutor is to transform math from what many students see as a boring and mundane subject to an interesting subject that students are willing to explore by themselves. My grandmother told me a saying that really embodies this. Math is like chocolate, when you start to eat it, you just want to keep eating more and more until the bar is finished. I want students to “eat up” the subject and
