We feel so lucky to have found Jesse! He first worked with our daughter during her junior year for AP English Literature and Composition. Working with Jesse, our daughter’s in-class essays immediately improved. They continued to work together throughout the school year, and she ultimately earned a 5 on the AP English Lit exam. During the summer and the first part of senior year, Jesse and our daughter worked together on college essays. Their sessions culminated in our daughter being accepted to Harvard. One of the many great things about Jesse is his positive attitude and the genuine care he has for his students. The college application process can be anxiety-inducing, but Jesse’s educational talents and personal qualities helped reduce our daughter’s anxiety as well as improve her essays. No matter our daughter’s frame of mind at the beginning of any session with Jesse, she was always hopeful and excited after their meetings. We are happy to recommend Jesse, not just because of his extensive knowledge and expertise, but also because of his supportive and kind nature. Finding a great tutor is important. Finding a great tutor who is also a great human being is like winning the lottery.

Amazing help with college essays, SAT, and AP Lang exam

Jesse was incredibly helpful throughout my son's college application process, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. We began with tutoring for the SAT English test and the AP Language exam, which my son found very helpful and greatly improved his scores. We then transitioned to essay writing. Jesse was amazing at helping my son brainstorm ideas, identify the most compelling ones, and develop them into strong, authentic essays. He inspired some of my son's best writing and did a wonderful job keeping him focused, motivated, and on track. I especially appreciated Jesse's review process--talking through the essays together with my son, discussing areas for improvement, and offering guidance while still allowing my son to take the lead throughout so the work remained entirely his own. My son ended up with a truly beautiful personal statement that perfectly captured his personality, along with several strong supplemental essays. My son has already been accepted to some top undergraduate business programs, including Indiana University's Kelley School and Michigan's Ross School of Business, with several more applications outstanding. We could not have done it all without Jesse's help, and I would highly recommend him to any student seeking thoughtful, effective guidance.
