I am a graduate student in Music Composition and hold degrees with Highest Honors in Music Composition and Playwriting from UC San Diego. Having studied under Pulitzer Prize, Grawemeyer Award, and Grammy-winning faculty, I bring rigorous conservatory-level technique and professional dramatic storytelling into an engaging, collaborative learning environment.

Highest Honors in Music Composition and recipient of Stewart Award for Excellence in Performing Arts for my string quartet, that was perfrmed by Stanford's very own St Lawrence Quartet. Studied privately with Dr Anthony Davis, Pulitzer Prize Awardee and member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Studied privately with Dr Chinary Ung, Grawenmayer Awardee and member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Studied privately with Dr Rand P Steiger, who did work in IRCAM and is the Prebys Distinguished Chair at UCSD. 10 years total of private teaching experience.

I have successfully finished the ear training 1-4 coursework at Mesa College and Palomar College, respectively. Dr. Weller, the Music Chair and conductor of Palomar Symphony orchestra, has asked me to tutor Theory, Piano and Ear Training at the STAR tutoring center this semester. I have 8 years of experience helping students with their Ear Training privately.

I have been teaching guitar for 10 years. I have 12 years of playing experience. I play a wide range of styles, including; Rock, Jazz, Classical, Flamenco, Blues, Folk, Bossa Nova, Samba, Nueva Trova, Salsa Cubana, Metal, etc. I have completed college coursework in Beginner, Intermediate, Classical and Flamenco Guitar and played in a variety of bands and solo settings.

I tutor at Palomar College, and privately. I have 8 over years of experience tutoring this subject, and use a few different approaches that I've developed and learned over the years from Professors and Mentors. My personalized teaching style focuses in on how each individual student learns.

I have been playing piano for upwards of 25 years. I have been teaching for ten years. I play and tutor a variety of styles, being well-versed in Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, Jazz, Bossa Nova, Salsa, Rock and other Contemporary styles. As with guitar, I have, and continue to, perform in numerous band and solo settings. I have studied piano with a number of excellent teachers, including Rod Contreras, Fathi Rasul, and the late John Danke.

I have 24 years of experience Composing music. I write Classical, Rock, Reggae, Salsa, Jazz, Bossa Nova, Hip Hop etc. I am a Composition Major, and have had my pieces performed. Last semester I had the honor to have my piece for 2 flutes, trumpet, trombone, poetry and piano performed at Palomar college. Additionally, I have been teaching composition and songwriting for 9 years, and have developed my own techniques. Additionally, I have written over 100 songs in aforementioned styles.

I am a trained opera singer and regularly perform with San Diego Master Chorale and other local Professional Vocal groups. I was trained by the opera bass Louis Lebherz, and participated in the Virginia Hawke Scholarship Foundation Vocal Competition. I also studied with tenor Dr John Russell, Director of San Diego Master Chorale.
