As a graduating medical student preparing to enter a psychiatry residency, I bring a strong foundation in both clinical knowledge and individualized learning strategies. I’ve had the privilege of successfully tutoring students on the autism spectrum in the past, and it’s an experience I’ve found deeply meaningful. As a graduating medical student about to begin a psychiatry residency, I bring both clinical understanding and practical teaching experience to the table. This background uniquely positions me to tailor sessions to individual learning styles, support executive functioning challenges, and create a structured, respectful, and empowering environment for students with ASD. I’m committed to fostering both academic growth and confidence through patience, consistency, and clear communication.

Biology

I’m a fourth-year medical student with extensive experience in biology, human physiology, and the biological sciences. My background includes tutoring undergraduate students in foundational biology concepts, anatomy, microbiology, and cellular processes. I’m skilled at simplifying complex topics, adapting to different learning styles, and making difficult material accessible and engaging. My goal is to help students build confidence and achieve academic excellence in biology.

College Counseling

I have provided counseling to numerous students, ranging from high school to college. As a medical student, I understand the difficulties in applying to numerous schools, and filling out applications. I have helped homeschoolers navigate the college application process and saw them gain acceptances from every UC! I was also president of a pre-medical club in undergrad, where we provided resources and information to students on the pre-health track. Common Core

I have experience tutoring students of all grade levels, starting as early as preschool. In high school, I worked at a daycare, where I helped children as young as four develop foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. This early experience taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and engaging learning techniques tailored to young learners. As I continued my tutoring journey, I taught fourth-grade science, working to make complex concepts accessible and fun for younger students. At the high school level, I have tutored various subjects, including AP Biology, helping students build strong conceptual understanding and test-taking strategies for success in advanced coursework. In college, I served as both a genetics and writing tutor, guiding students through challenging scientific concepts and refining their academic writing skills. Elementary (K-6th)

I have experience working with elementary students through my role at Genius Kids, where I primarily assisted 4th and 5th graders with their homework across various subjects. Additionally, I provided private tutoring for a 4th-grade student in science, helping them strengthen their understanding of key concepts. English

I earned a 4.0 GPA in college-level writing, history, and philosophy, and I’m a trained writing tutor who has helped students refine everything from analytical essays to college applications. I’ve also coached students in AP Lang and literature, and bring a structured, step-by-step approach to improving clarity, voice, and persuasive technique. My students have seen significant improvements in both their scores and their writing confidence.

European History

I have a strong academic background and extensive experience tutoring students in AP-level courses, including history and humanities subjects. As a fourth-year medical student with a B.S. in Neuroscience and an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences, I have honed my critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills—essential components for success in AP European History. I have helped students improve their understanding of historical themes, essay writing, and exam strategies to maximize their scores. My approach focuses on breaking down complex historical narratives, making connections between events, and refining DBQ and LEQ techniques to help students excel on the AP exam.

Executive Functioning

I’m a psychiatry resident physician with 10+ years of tutoring experience, and I work with students who struggle with ADHD, procrastination, organization, and follow-through. I help clients build systems for planning, task initiation, time management, and studying efficiently—using practical tools like time-blocking, checklists, and “chunking” assignments into doable steps. Sessions are structured and supportive: we set a clear goal, work in short focused sprints, and end with a realistic plan for the week. I tailor strategies to each student’s learning style and can coordinate with school supports (IEP/504) when helpful.

GED

I did very well in high school and have successfully completed multiple exams, from the SAT to USMLE Step 1 and 2. I have helped many high school students to succeed on their exams

Genetics

As a former college genetics tutor and current 4th-year medical student, I have a strong foundation in both basic and medical genetics. I have helped students understand complex topics such as Mendelian inheritance, molecular genetics, genetic disorders, and gene expression regulation. MCAT

I have successfully completed the MCAT and am now in my last year of medical school. I scored in the 99th percentile for CARS and can assist with this.

Nursing

I successfully completed and defended my thesis during my Masters. I have a strong background in science and was also a writing tutor

Pharmacology

As a fourth year medical student, I have taken pharmacology for my own school's curriculum and done well in this course. I have taken and passed multiple board exams on my first attempt that cover pharmacology, such as USMLE Step 1 & 2, and Level 1 and 2. In addition I spent a year researching in a lab that was testing parameters for a nanodrug delivery mechanisms. I know pharmacology on a deep level, and can help guide you on choosing resources, study tips and tricks for memorizing hundreds of drugs, and how to retain this information.

Physiology

I’m a fourth-year medical student with extensive training in human physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical medicine. My medical education and clinical experience provide me with in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and systemic physiology. I specialize in simplifying complex physiological concepts, helping students not only understand material but also apply it practically in clinical scenarios. My teaching style emphasizes clarity, clinical relevance, and effective exam preparation.

Psychology

I’m a fourth-year medical student pursuing a career in psychiatry, with extensive academic training in psychology, neuroscience, and human behavior. Special Needs

As a graduating medical student entering psychiatry, I have a deep understanding of neurodevelopmental differences, including ADHD, dyslexia, and autism spectrum disorders. I’ve worked with children and teens who learn differently, helping them build executive functioning, reading, and writing skills with structure and empathy. USMLE

As someone who successfully passed both USMLE Step 1 and COMLEX Level 1 on my first attempt, I bring a firsthand understanding of what it takes to prepare efficiently and effectively—especially under time constraints. I studied for Step 1 while actively rotating through clinical clerkships, which taught me how to prioritize high-yield content, integrate knowledge across disciplines, and make the most of limited study time. This experience allows me to coach students not just on what to study, but how to study smartly and strategically. I’m passionate about helping others gain confidence in their approach, stay organized, and build a strong foundation to pass these critical exams.
