I grew up in South Africa where I lectured in the Italian Dept of the School of Modern Languages and Literatures at a prominent university. I subsequently did my M.A and Ph.D in Italian. I have taught Italian as a second language for over 25 yrs.
I love everything Italian and I love teaching it. Having learned it myself as a second language, I know what it's like to learn a foreign language and I'm good at teaching it!! It's a lot of fun.

Kim is a great Italian language tutor!
My first meeting with Kim was so comfortable and very productive. She knows just how to "create" the conversation, how to guide and correct without being intrusive and is very patient and encouraging. A perfect conversation teacher. I think because she learned Italian as a second language she understands what it takes to learn, where English speakers have challenges and how to overcome them. I came away feeling like I learned more in an hour than I had in weeks of classroom learning. I can't wait until our next session!
