Hey!

I'm a San Diego native and and currently work in the marketing department at USD after having spent two years working as an Academic Coach at High Tech High Media Arts providing academic support to high school students in their classrooms. Outside of my regular work hours, I still enjoy tutoring so that I can continue to work with students as they strive to overcome their academic obstacles. My goal as a tutor is to improve your skills in a subject area you may be struggling in, prepare you to succeed on a test, or support you with extra practice and guidance on a subject you enjoy.

I have earned a Masters degree in European Political Science, a Bachelors degree in Business Marketing, as well as minors in Spanish and Psychology. During my studies, I studied abroad in Italy for 2 semesters and in Prague for one semester. Through these experiences, I discovered a passion for international cultures, languages, and politics. Based on my academic and professional background, my tutoring expertise lies in foreign languages and history/social studies, though I can help with English and business (especially marketing) courses as well.

Notes on my qualifications:

1. If you are interested in Portuguese tutoring, please note that I speak European Portuguese.
2. As a San Diego native, I have been exposed to the Spanish language most of my life. I have also studied Spanish since the 8th grade and earned a Spanish minor in college.
3. I studied European Political Science for my Masters degree, which gave me greater insight into the complexities of the world's political and economic systems. I genuinely enjoy this topic and can help you on various subjects related to history and the humanities.

My base rate is only $40 and I can travel to you. I prefer to tutor wherever you feel most comfortable, whether that be in your home or in a public setting, such as a library or coffee shop. I look forward to working with you!
