I've taught the LSAT and GMAT since 1995. My teaching experience is what sets me apart from other tutors. Nothing can substitute for the know-how that comes from year after year after year of working with all kinds of students on every part of the test. I communicate dynamically and effectively to help you learn the substance and the skills to succeed on test day.
No matter how you feel now about the process of studying for the test, you'll probably end up enjoying it more than you...

Gets You To Where You Need To Be
When I first started working with Peter for LSAT prep, I had already gotten an objectively good score - above a 160. However, I knew that wasn't where I wanted to be, so I began my sessions hoping to push my score into the 170+ range. With the LSAT, every point and every detail counts for so much more when pushing for higher scores, and Peter was always on top of every detail; even when I had a concept 90% of the way there, he was able to pick up on the 10% I was missing to give me a full understanding of the question and why I missed it. I worked consistently with Peter for months and, while there were some road bumps on the way, I saw consistent progress: after about a month of working together, I broke the 170 mark on a practice test. Eventually, 170+ scores became the norm, and anything below that was abnormal for my performance. Even after factoring in the seven or so tests I took before working with Peter, my average score over 60+ tests was almost a 171. When it comes to any performance, you don't rise to the occasion - you fall back on your day in, day out training. My consistent work with Peter is why I scored in the range I needed to come test day, and his eye for detail and thorough understanding of the material is why I improved consistently during our time working together. I know that Peter can help you get those extra 10 points, regardless of where your baseline is. Thanks Peter, appreciate all the help.

Excellent tutor!
Working with Peter as my LSAT tutor was a great choice! He is knowledgeable, thorough, and was very helpful when I was trying to locate my weak spots. He uses fun examples to help key concepts stay top of mind, and was accessible whenever I needed extra support. If you feel stuck in a certain score range, or can't seem to grasp the basics, definitely consider some lessons with him! I'm so happy with my score and could not have achieved this without him.

Amazing GMAT Tutor
I came to Peter for help in the new GMAT Focus Quant and Data sufficiency sections. Right off the bat he had a very structured approach to both. He taught me basics of how to think about data sufficiency questions and certain fundamental concepts about how to approach quant, as opposed to the very haphazard way I was approaching them. For the GMAT, it's rarely the raw concepts that are hard to master, and its more about how to reason through simple concepts that are presented in convoluted ways, and Peter helped me with that. Peter was patient and took his time and helped me methodically build up my skillset and confidence. I had a great learning experience with him and couldn't recommend him more.

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable
Peter and I have been working on the LSAT reading comprehension for a few weeks now, and I am very glad I chose him. What sets him apart from other tutors is his teaching style, which is dynamic and enthusiastic, and he makes the lessons and the readings enjoyable and even funny. I have met with numerous other tutors for this subject, within all price ranges, and it is noticeable how his teaching style is different and easier to digest. We've only had a few lessons, and I can already see the test starting to click and make sense. He has the answers to the questions that you have, and I couldn't recommend him enough.

Patient and Consistent
During my time with Peter, we worked through all of the logical reasoning mistakes that I kept repeating. I had been at a scoring plateau in the low 160s for a couple months after self-study. Through his consistent and repeated teaching skills, I was able to reach a final score of 174. Peter was very available and patient and made improving on the test an attainable challenge. Apart from reviewing missed questions, Peter also provided a general framework for understanding and mastery of LR question types which really helped my confidence with the test. I would strongly recommend working with Peter.

Great tutor and very accommodating
When I first contacted Peter, I was in a rough situation. I had spent 3 months prepping for the LSAT using a self-guided Blueprint course, but Logic Games were just not clicking for me. I had just taken my first LSAT and felt like I had bombed that section and urgently needed help. I had one month before my second and final LSAT and asked Peter to help. We started back at square one and he taught me a completely different way to think about these puzzles. He was realistic that a month was a very brief window to see marked improvement, but he emphasized the most important game types and strategies to give me the best chances possible. Over the course of 4 weeks, I went from consistently getting 10 or 11 questions right to 18 or 19 in every practice test. Although I wasn't crushing 100% of the questions in 35 minutes, the improvements I made had a significant impact on my practice exam scores and significantly boosted my confidence going into the second exam. Not only was he effective, but he was also very accommodating of my unusual work schedule. We were able to have multiple sessions every week and he always provided enough homework to keep me busy without overwhelming me. I highly recommend Peter to anyone looking to see marked improvement in their LSAT scores and confidence taking the test.

Peter was so helpful!
I came to Peter in a massive time crunch trying to get my LSAT score up as much as I could. We worked together for about a month before my test dating meeting about two to three times a week. Peter was so helpful in describing his strategies and making sure that I was able to comprehend what he was saying so that when it came to test day I would be on my A-game. I ended up improving my score significantly and I was so happy. Would definitely recommend Peter to all of my friends!

I highly recommend him.
I am so grateful to Peter. I had tried the self study route for over a year and it wasn’t until I found Peter on Wyzant that I made real progress towards improving my GMAT score. Peter was very kind and patient and more affordable than most tutors I had encountered. He taught me some strategies that helped me raise my score by 70 points in 3 months. Most of all, he believed in me. I did not think a T15 was achievable, but thanks to him I am now headed to an M-7 school. You’ll get real value out of your sessions with him. I highly recommend him.

Highly recommend
I have worked with Peter on the GMAT. He has incredibly extensive knowledge on each section, as well as all of the testing tips and tricks. He teaches in a manner that is both easy to understand and is patient every step of the way. After working with Peter, my GMAT knowledge improved greatly, and I understood broad concepts much better. I would highly recommend him as a tutor!

Got me from a 650 to a 750 - HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!
I worked with Peter for around 7 months and cannot recommend him enough!! When I first contacted him, I had been getting mid 600's on my practice tests and was shooting for a 750. I was having a hard time mastering certain QUANT sections on my own and Peter also suggested working on Sentence Correction together because that's where I was missing the most Verbal questions. Over the next 8 months, we would end up working on every section of the test together and in hindsight, there is no way I would have gotten to a 750 without him. What I loved about Peter's tutoring, was rather than just tech me formulas or rules, he really took the time to teach me the concepts behind them. This was crucial for me because I had a lot of test-day anxiety and having a really deep understanding of the material was absolutely essential for me to calm my nerves to get through the test. I took the test four different times while working with Peter and I got a 660, 720, 740, and then finally a 750. Peter stuck with through the entire journey and really adapted his tutoring style to exactly what I needed at the time (for example, I needed to learn the concepts at the beginning, vs later on when I needed help with time management, vs the end when I just needed someone to help me fine tune certain skills). Once again, I cannot recommend Peter enough! Update : I wanted to update this review because after working with Peter to get my GMAT score up, I was accepted into one of the top three MBA schools with an almost full-ride scholarship, and I know that this would have never been possible without Peter's help. For any prospective students reading this review, please keep in mind that, although tutoring can be expensive, a high GMAT score can play a huge roll in getting more scholarship money. The amount of my scholarship ended up being six times the total amount I spent on tutoring sessions, so think of this as not money lost but as an investment that you will often get back later.
