My name is Claire Z, and I'm a registered nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing Education. I currently work in cardiac progressive care, where I care for patients recovering from heart surgery, heart failure, and complex cardiac conditions every day.
I passed the NCLEX-RN on my first attempt in 85 questions, and I graduated from my BSN program with a 3.98 GPA. But what I remember most from nursing school isn't the grades — it's how overwhelming it felt when professors moved fast through pharmacology, or when a med-surg exam tested critical thinking instead of memorization. I tutor nursing students and new graduates preparing for the NCLEX-RN, as well as students working through nursing school coursework in areas like medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology, and fundamentals. I also teach Basic Life Support (BLS), and I'm happy to work with students in English or Mandarin.
My approach is simple: we figure out how you think, then build from there. Some students need content broken down into plain language; others need test-taking strategy — how to read what an NCLEX question is really asking, how to eliminate distractors, how to stay calm when you don't know the answer immediately. In our sessions, you'll get both: clear explanations of the "why" behind the content, and practical strategies you can use on exam day. No judgment, no rushing — just steady progress toward the nurse you're becoming.
I look forward to working with you.
