Over the following two years, I facilitated bi-weekly "Peer Learning" sessions for lower division undergraduate physics courses through the Academic Advancement Program. I guided groups of 6 to 12 students through worksheets I designed to complement their lectures. These worksheets featured equation sheets, conceptual questions, and exam-style problems. During these sessions and my dedicated exam reviews, I never aimed to hand out answers. Instead, I actively utilized the deeper insights gained from my advanced coursework to collaboratively guide students toward the solutions, fostering an environment where their critical thinking took priority.
My tutoring philosophy is to provide the support students need to actively engage with difficult material while empowering them to take on challenges independently. I strive to create an open environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking for help. Additionally, I continually adapt my strategies based on feedback from tutees and parents to further tailor the students' learning experience.
