I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education (Mild/Moderate) from Westminster College (May 2019). I am a licensed teacher in Utah and California and hold additional certifications in Teaching English as an Additional Language and supporting students with Autism.
I have over five years of experience as a special education teacher in elementary settings. From 2020–2022, I taught 5th grade special education, and from 2022–2026, I worked in lower elementary special education supporting students in transitional kindergarten through second grade. In these roles, I provided direct instruction in reading, writing, and math, implemented IEP goals, and delivered individualized interventions for students with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and foundational skill gaps.
I also have experience as a private tutor for both general education and special education students. My tutoring focuses on early literacy, phonics, reading comprehension, fluency, and elementary math using structured, explicit instruction (I do, we do, you do), frequent checks for understanding, and positive reinforcement to build confidence and independence.
I have worked with students ages 4–10 in classroom, small group, one-on-one, and online settings. My approach is structured, supportive, and highly individualized to help students build both academic skills and learning independence.
