I recently graduated high school with a 4.1 weighted GPA and earned majority A grades throughout my academic career. I completed an accelerated math track and took Honors English for two years, earning As in all. My AP coursework includes AP Calculus AB (exam score: 4) and AP English Language (exam score: 4). I have also completed AP Statistics, AP English Literature, and AP Psychology coursework, which strengthened my analytical and critical thinking skills in multiple math, English, and psychology fields.
I also have several years of teaching and mentoring experience through Speech & Debate and a Writing Help Center I was selected for at the high school I graduated from. During my sophomore year, I worked with middle school students in prepared and impromptu speaking events, helping them improve speech delivery and written components. In my junior year, I taught high school students in Speech & Debate, specializing in Varsity Impromptu Speech in one-on-one and small-group settings. I learned how to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and help students build confidence in their abilities to speak and write. I was also hired for the writing help center my junior year where I was professionally trained to proofread and improve writing techniques for students of normal and advanced english courses in all grades of high school.
I also recently completed a rigorous dual enrollment course for Financial Accounting with a "B" which I tutored fellow peers in!
As a tutor, I want to encourage you as a student! Education is an amazing resource and I know how good it feels to work to achieve a good grade and understanding of a topic. I absolutely love questions, which are the key to learning, and want to support your student goals as an experienced student myself :)!
