Hello! My name is Sasha, and I am a certified special education teacher with a Master's degree and professional teaching licenses in both New York and California. I have several years of experience working with students from elementary through high school and specialize in supporting diverse learners through individualized instruction and evidence-based teaching practices.
Throughout my career, I have worked in self-contained and inclusive classroom settings, helping students strengthen their skills in reading, writing, mathematics, study skills, and executive functioning. I have extensive experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and a variety of academic and behavioral needs. My work has included both whole-class instruction and highly individualized one-on-one support, allowing me to adapt lessons to meet each student's unique learning profile.
My tutoring approach is built on patience, encouragement, and high expectations. I believe every student can make meaningful progress when instruction is tailored to their strengths and needs. I use scaffolded instruction, visual supports, explicit teaching strategies, and positive reinforcement to help students build skills while developing confidence and independence.
Whether your child needs support with foundational reading skills, reading comprehension, writing, math, organization, study skills, or general academic confidence, I am committed to creating engaging and supportive learning experiences that help students reach their goals. My goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more confident, resilient learners who recognize their own potential for success.
