If you are struggling with Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering, you have found the right tutor. With over 15 years of professional tutoring experience and more than 1,500 students helped, I bring a level of expertise and a proven track record that is rare to find in a single tutor.
My academic background spans three degrees: a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics (Double Major) from UC San Diego, an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from San Diego State University, and an M.S. in Statistics from San Diego State University. I have tutored and TA'd at the university level, working with students at UCSD, SDSU, and across the entire San Diego community college system.
In Mathematics, I teach everything from Algebra and Pre-Calculus through Calculus I, II and III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. In Statistics, one of my strongest specialties, I cover everything from introductory statistics for non-STEM majors through Probability Theory, Mathematical Statistics, Regression Analysis, and Data Analysis. I also help students with statistical programming and data analysis using Python, R, MATLAB, and SAS, as well as educational research projects.
In Physics, I teach all three university courses: Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, and Heat, Waves, Optics and Modern Physics, as well as upper division Thermodynamics and Quantum Mechanics. In Engineering, I cover Statics, Dynamics, and Heat Transfer.
My teaching method is built around one goal: making sure you truly understand, not just memorize. I start with the core concept in its simplest form, then guide you through examples that build steadily in depth until the material clicks. I am patient, thorough, and completely focused on your progress during every session. Most students see a noticeable improvement within the first two meetings.
I am available online and in person at UCSD, SDSU, and USD campuses, with flexible evening and weekend hours.
