I have a strong background in education and speech-language development. I earned my undergraduate degree from Salve Regina University in Elementary and Special Education, and I previously worked as a full-time teacher in a K–3 special education classroom. In that role, I supported students with a range of learning needs using individualized instruction, structured teaching strategies, and play-based approaches when appropriate. I am currently finishing my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, which I will complete in May, and through my clinical training I have worked with children on skills such as early literacy, phonological awareness, and speech-sound production. I have experience working with preschool and school-age students in both one-on-one and small group settings, and I focus on adapting my teaching methods to fit each child’s needs and learning style. I especially love teaching reading and writing and helping students build confidence in their literacy skills. Overall, my combined experience in the classroom and clinical settings has prepared me to effectively support students in their academic and communication development.
