As an experienced teaching assistant and pre-health/pre-STEM advisor, I am extremely passionate about helping students succeed in their academic endeavors. I most recently completed a Fulbright Fellowship in the field of oncology. My academic training spans engineering, biology, and medicine, and I have extensive experience working with students pursuing pre-health, pre-research (master’s and PhD), and engineering pathways. Through my own academic journey, I have secured over $80,000 in competitive funding, including the Fulbright Scholarship, the UC Regents Scholarship, and the Strauss Scholarship, among others.
In addition to my own awards, I have guided dozens of undergraduate students through competitive university-level scholarship and fellowship applications, helping them secure prestigious research and service-based funding awards. I have also been accepted to several highly selective graduate programs, including a Master’s in Integrated Immunology at Oxford and the Master of Translational Medicine program at UCSF, and I regularly assist students with application strategy, personal statements, and research-focused narratives for science graduate programs. I am also experienced in advising and editing college applications, drawing from my own successful admissions to institutions such as Brown University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and other highly selective universities.
I also have 5+ years of experience tutoring science and math across middle school, high school, and college levels. My teaching background includes one-on-one tutoring, small-group instruction, engineering courses, and AP/SAT preparation (including subject tests). I emphasize clear conceptual understanding, problem-solving strategies, and confidence-building, tailoring my approach to each student’s goals and academic background. I enjoy working with students at all stages and am happy to offer an initial 30-minute consultation to determine how I can best support their academic and long-term objectives!
