I am a professor of Computer Science at the University of San Diego and hold a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame. I have over four years of experience teaching at the university level and am currently a tenure-track faculty member, working closely with undergraduate students from diverse academic and academic preparedness backgrounds. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clear explanations, strong conceptual foundations, and practical problem-solving skills that help students build confidence and independence.

At the University of San Diego, I teach courses such as Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Computational Problem Solving (introductory Python programming). In these courses, I focus on helping students understand core ideas in AI, algorithms, and programming through hands-on coding, structured guidance, and real-world examples. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace and goals, whether they are new to programming or looking to strengthen their technical skills.

In addition to teaching, I maintain a strong research profile in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with experience developing and studying advanced AI systems and applied machine learning techniques. This research perspective allows me to connect theory with practice and provide students with deeper insight into how AI and machine learning concepts are used beyond the classroom. I enjoy mentoring students who want to improve course performance, prepare for exams, or build a solid foundation in AI, machine learning, and Python.
