I have been tutoring math for nearly 10 years, and my experience spans volunteer work, tutoring agencies, classroom support, and private instruction. I first began tutoring in high school while earning volunteer hours, and quickly realized how much I enjoyed helping students understand concepts in a way that finally “clicks.”
During college, I tutored part-time for several tutoring agencies, supporting middle school and high school students in Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and SAT/ACT Math. After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree, I worked as a math para-educator, where I assisted students in classroom settings, provided small-group instruction, and supported individual learners who needed extra help.
Over time, I built my own tutoring practice, where I now work one-on-one and in small groups with high school students. I specialize in AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, and SAT/ACT Math test prep. My students range from those who are struggling and need step-by-step guidance to advanced students preparing for AP exams and college entrance tests.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and focused on clarity. I break down difficult concepts into approachable steps, identify gaps quickly, and help students develop strong problem-solving skills. I love working with teens, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a student gain confidence and say, “I actually get this now!”
