Hi, I'm Austin! I'm a UCSD grad with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Writing. When I was a student, I remember feeling completely overwhelmed by all the class, tests, and extracurriculars I had to study for, and the mountains of resources that existed for them actually made it harder to know where to start. The teachers who made the biggest impact on me were the ones who cut through all that noise and pointed me toward exactly what I needed to focus on. That’s the exact approach I take with my own students. I try to make things as simple as possible, giving you the specific resources you need so you can just focus on what’s right in front of you while maintaining a healthy study-life balance.
I've been teaching test prep since the old 2400-point SAT days. I scored a 2320 on that older format and a 1600 on the current one, so I know exactly what it takes to beat these exams. I've even spent time writing and designing curriculum for the new digital SAT. I also have years of experience teaching high school STEM courses (mostly math), AP classes, and competition math for students both here in the US and in South Korea.
Whether we're prepping for a massive exam or tackling a tough AP math class, my goal is to take the stress out of the process and help you actually build confidence in the subject. I'm easy to reach, quick to respond, and always happy to adjust my lessons to fit exactly what a student needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session!
