Two years ago, I had the honor of receiving a bachelor's in neuroscience from UCLA after graduating with a 3.919 GPA. I have since then applied my knowledge in biology, chemistry, and mathematics to my experiences in the laboratory as a research technician. While in college and as a postgrad, I also worked as a tutor for several organizations. Great Tutor
Michelle has been an excellent tutor for my son. During their recent lesson, she took extra time to ensure he thoroughly understood how to convert equations from standard form to vertex form, clearly explaining what each part of the vertex form represents. She also helped him identify key features of a parabola using vertex form, including how to find the y-intercept and determine the axis of symmetry. Beyond that, Michelle worked with him on using FOIL with complex numbers and guided him through setting up proportions from similar triangles to solve for unknown side lengths. She even provided personalized recommendations and extra practice problems—with solutions—on the back of his worksheet to reinforce what they covered. Her explanations are clear, patient, and structured, and she consistently goes above and beyond to support his learning. We are very grateful for her help!
