I have received a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego, meaning I have the knowledge and toolset necessary to be a skilled English tutor.
I have a myriad of experiences, having tutored students in elementary school, middle school, high school, and most recently, college. In 2023, served as a Discussion Leader for UC San Diego's First Year Experience program that helps students acclimate to the intensity of college courses and activities. In this role, I coordinated and facilitated sessions with 25+ students on a weekly basis. I've also worked closely with high school students as they learn to tackle Advanced Placement English courses and prepare to enter college application season.
Having been a tutor since 2022, my clients would say that I am supportive, encouraging, and go the extra mile to ensure a student feels confident in their success. I approach sessions with a method-based framework while simultaneously building a constructive environment that students can grow and thrive in.
