Hello! My name is Noelle and I have a strong background in many subjects. I attended SDSU where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, which focused on viewing environmental issues through different lenses such as politics, social factors, economics, etc. This means that I have a very well rounded education in a wide variety of subjects.
Currently, my day job involves visiting different schools in San Diego to teach about environmental science topics to elementary, middle, and high schoolers via a mixed medium of presentations and hands on activities.
A bit about my general experience and teaching style is that I am passionate about working with students to get them excited about learning. Typically, I take a collaborative approach with students by working with students to figure out the curriculum together. I have taught a wide age range of students, including students as young as TK (transitional kindergarten), elementary school students, middle schoolers, high schoolers, and even adults. I have taught in both classroom settings and as a one on one tutor. I want students to look forward to learning and to be curious about what they're focusing on in school. I have experience with students with a variety of learning styles and abilities, and can tailor my teaching style to fit your particular needs. I am familiar with how to rephrase and reword concepts and ideas when a concept isn't clicking for a student and I am very flexible in adapting my approach to teaching.
