I received my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University in 2014, and received my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from U.C. San Diego in 2022. I have always been passionate about the intersection of chemistry, physics, and mathematics, and am excited to share that with students who find those subjects difficult or dull. In my Ph.D. and professional life, I have focused on computational chemistry, combining my love of the three above subjects and computation.

I have extensive experience tutoring in a volunteer setting as well in a personalized one-on-one setting. I tutored with the program Reality Changers for 5 years. Reality Changers pairs volunteer tutors with at-risk youth struggling academically after difficult life events. Working with RC helped teach me not only the best ways to approach subject matters like math and chemistry, but how to connect with students who lacked confidence in the subjects. I approach tutoring from a "show, work with, watch" approach-- show one example of how to do the problem, work with the student on one problem, and then have the student try on their own. I additionally have worked one-on-one with students I have known in a personal capacity to hone my tutoring style outside of RC.
Additionally, I believe learning should be FUN. I am heavily involved in the San Diego improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy scenes. I try to bring excitement and joy to my lessons with students, because I genuinely believe that learning IS fun!
